Catching Up On Her Reading

Work Stuff

Work has been crazy busy lately. It's a good thing I like my job so much.

Today, I discovered that I won an award for a video segment I produced on the local health department's STD clinic. It was one of my favorite stories from last year and featured a young woman who testified about living with HIV. Here is a link to the video. I think she is one of the bravest women I know.

I may be the new voice of the local city's 911 department, well, at least its answering machine service. I voiced a lot of messages today. I hope I never have a reason to find out if my voice is on the other line.

And, here's an example of weird timing. After a shoot today, I was turning off the studio lights when, as I turned off the last one, the fire alarm went off in the city building. Rationale told me that I didn't cause the alarm to go off but I think a late lunch and nutty long day added to my initial fears that I was at fault for forcing city staff into the cold.

So, let's just say it was a long day. Let's hope I have another productive one tomorrow.

Chillin' With Grandpa

Liam jams.
"Don't hate me because I'm beautiful."
Kissy face!
Beautiful and brainy. This girl can work a remote.

The Precious Princess and the Flashers

We took pictures to mark Maggie's 1 year birthday. This was one of the first pictures the photographer snapped of Maggie. Good thing because she soon became unhappy and did NOT want to pose for the camera. We're lucky the photographer captured Maggie's beautiful smile in this one. She's such a precious princess.
The debute of the Flashers - ready to rock your world.
"Sorry, kid. You're just too darn loud." Jack jams on the guitar.
Sold out concert. Playing for the ladies.

The Joy of Kids

A 10 pack of Play-doh on Amazon? $8.
The look on your husband's face when he comes home and notices the "new" multi-colored polka dot carpet? Priceless.
There are some things money can't buy. For an anxiety-free life, there's Xanax. :)

Snow Angel

We've had such a dry winter that I thought we'd better get Miss Maggie out in the snow before it melts. Our little girl wasn't too excited about it but she still looked like an angel.

Pinkalicious Princess Party

It's my party and I'll pout if I want to.

We threw a birthday party for Miss Maggie yesterday. She turns a year old tomorrow. She wasn't too keen on the cake so someone else decided to help her devour some of it. Maggie Rose did enjoy the ice cream.
Liam: the pink cake eater.
Happy Birthday beautiful girl. We love you!
