We have talked to the boys about their adoptions and birth families from the very beginning. Jack has a keen sense of his birth family. In the past when we've visited Liam's family, Jack will ask with some sadness, "When do we get to see my birth family?" When I picked up the boys tonight, our daycare provider told me that the kids were talking about babies being in bellies. Jack informed his friends that I was Matthew's birth mommy. Isn't that one of the sweetest things you've ever heard? Certainly something I never thought I would hear.
Of course, there is the other side of Jack who tries to "trick" people. Last night, he said, "Look mom. There's a big butt!" as I was driving. I was so tired and partially working on reflexes so of course I looked. "I tricked you!" Jack happily replied. Then he tried to trick me with "There's a big brain." And "There's a big everything." Needless to say, I didn't fall for those.

A Bunch of Monkeys
Group photo!
Hey beautiful!
It's hard to believe that this little guy is more than a week old. Mike and I are debating who he looks like. One thing's for sure, he's going to be pale.

Chillin' With Grandpa
Liam jams.
"Don't hate me because I'm beautiful."
Kissy face!
Beautiful and brainy. This girl can work a remote.
The Precious Princess and the Flashers
We took pictures to mark Maggie's 1 year birthday. This was one of the first pictures the photographer snapped of Maggie. Good thing because she soon became unhappy and did NOT want to pose for the camera. We're lucky the photographer captured Maggie's beautiful smile in this one. She's such a precious princess.
The debute of the Flashers - ready to rock your world.
"Sorry, kid. You're just too darn loud." Jack jams on the guitar.
Sold out concert. Playing for the ladies.

The Things Kids Say
During our time at Hermann, Meaghan, Jack and I made a trip to the restroom. Meaghan finished before Jack and me and wanted to leave. (We were at a restaurant and she wanted to join Grandma and her mom upstairs.) I told her she needed to stay and she needed to be accompanied by an adult at all times. She replied, "I am an adult. I'm six years old. I'm an adult."

Jack and I were watching cartoons. During a commercial for water guns, he said, "I need that." In that same commerical, it showed a different type of water gun. He said, "I need that too.'
And so it begins. Poor, poor Santa.
